NIGHT FALL. Produced and Directed by John Chukwudi

I grew up with this ideaology that Women are the bedrock for morals and development of every Society and Nation.
So they all deserve to be respected and loved.

John started the script from March 2015 after listening to testimonies from victims of sexual servitude, rape, domestic violence, abuse and trafficking in an online counselling session from 2015-2017.

Someone needs to put it together in a movie for the World to see. So I started working on it.


We came into this World through births by Women.
Be you a Lawyer, Doctor, Scientist, A Military General, A Governor or even a President.

In many societies, young girls and women have been victims.
Even some cultures and traditions have continued to treat women with less importance. We expect all that to begin to change.

Night Fall is a story about Justice Patricia Dotie, a famous and influencial judge in the region.
She is a humanitarian and advocate for the girl child.

While away on a visit to a refugee camp in Uganda, her 22 years old adopted Daughter, Laura was given out in what looked like an arranged marriage to Phil, a young man from Ivory Coast by Rt General felix Dotie, her foster father and leader of the regional ruling political party.

Upon Patricia's return several months later, she was told her daughter is happily married to a foreigner.

2 weeks later, she became worried because she had not been able to contact Laura or her foreign husband.
She decided to contract the services of a private detective called Mark.

As detective Mark and his partner digged deeper, they discovered Laura is not legally married to Phil but trafficked as a sex slave.

She was chained in a room and forced to have sex with anybody and even animals.

Detective mark also discovered several child traffic rings, working together up the Coast led by Rt General Felix Dotie who with his cohorts take delight preying on vulnerable girls who sought for better life and their daily bread.

Laura was subjected to beatings and forced to use hard drugs.

After the death of Phil, she regained her freedom.

Patricia Dotie is heart broken after discovering more truths that her  adopted daughter was used as sex slave by her husband, the ex General.

Would Patricia be fair enough to have her husband convicted over a girl that is not her blood?

The movie featured good Nigerian actors like Livinus Nnochiri, Tony Akposheri, Melissa Osagie, Doris Eke and John Chukwudi.

Challenges faced during the production of Night Fall were mostly financing.

A lot of people do not want to invest in new ideas especially coming from someone they perceived as new.

John Chukwudi said he was scammed by a marketer who was supposed to be distributor of the movie.

It is cases and people like these that give Nollywood some bad reputations.

We hope the movie Night Fall will be released into the open market for distribution by another marketer this year.

We also look forward to have it on Africa Magic and other online sources.
