GCUOBA Class of '84 conducted elections for new Class Executive Committee on the 29th of January, 2022 at Ishaka hotel, Warri, Delta State.

The Electoral Committee led by Mariner Ochuko Onohwakpor did a good job as his committee made sure the class bye laws were strictly followed.

2A. Seidu Kenneth for: VICE CHAIRMAN

2B. Akpodiete Ufuoma for: VICE CHAIRMAN

3. Ovaighoro Emamomo for: SECRETARY

4. Otega Aguke for: TREASURER

5A. Anere Sylvester for: PUBLICITY SECRETARY

5B. Edjere Oghenevwoke for: PUBLICITY SECRETARY


After the nomination process that took place in the class WhatsApp platform, based on the bye laws, the real voting was carried out on the 29th of January and winners emerged.

Classmates in the diaspora were hooked up via Zoom meeting by Chief Onoriode Echanomi and participated in the voting exercises online.

The outgoing Chairman, Mok Ifeanyi thanked the class for the opportunity to serve and wished the incoming CEC good tidings.

"The class of 84 has transited four leadership from Chief Brando Omu to Mike Akoreh and now from Mok Ifeanyi to Odjegba Otega. This is a sign of our commitment to do all it takes to make our Class Union succeed at all times"

The new CEC pledged to operate an open door administration and hailed the Mok Ifeanyi leadership for taking the class to its current level.
Odjegba promised that his administration shall strengthen the bye laws where necessary and push for expansions in the class welfare and insurance policies.

After the elections, Classmates were treated to a "Rice meeting" where they ate and drank together before heading back to their various bases.

They do this all the time so as to keep strengthening their bond and commitment to one another.
