DIGIDI DUNHILL. Extra will of man.

Dunhill started as a Music Rapper during his secondary school days in the late 80's.
In 1990, as a student of IMT Enugu, I formed a group called POWER HOUSE.
We organised the greatest campus shows between 1990/94.

The club had great guys like 2face (He was called Lord Eli by then), Black Face (known as Pirate),  Chidi Mokeme (called GQ till date)  Klint DA Drunk, Niga Raw, Ernest Asuzu called (El Cream till date) and some other guys of steel.

Driven by his quest for creativity, he joined Nollywood in 1992 as a writer and tried really hard to make an impact.
In those days, many people worked as Crew before they crossed to become Actors.
Dunhill was the Coordinator on set when ASHES OF HATRED was produced in 1993. That was during the days of U MATIC Cameras before the introduction of BETA CAM.
Trying to coordinate my elders like Dan Oluigbo,(The Chief Priest), Frank Vaughn, John Ikem, Rita Nzelu and Okey Ogunjiofor was a big challenge to me.

My 1st  major act was in "11 DAYS 11 NIGHTS".
Teco Benson's EXECUTIVE CRIME. (LAUGHS) That is when I began to understand what Actors go through on set. Acting and Movie making by then was very stressful, I must admit. Dunhill says.

I started growing the other thing inside me, MUSIC.

In 2000 my first Music Album "WHO DE THERE" was released.
Nigerian songs and Musicians were getting popular, not only in Nigeria and Africa, but in Europe and USA. This gave me that extra drive again.
My 2nd album "NWA NMUO" ft 2 Face Idibia.
The 3rd, "CHRONICLES OF DA OG". We made it (Osho) free so it can be released soon.

Looking into Nollywood nowadays I can say we are going higher by the day with the advent of modern equipment, and a lot of individuals have improved their skills in Camera operations, Sound and Audio, Lightening, Acting, Singing and even Dancing.

Special kudos to the fore runners of Nollywood. People like Eddy Ugboma, Chris Okotie, Alex O, Tade Ogidan, Tunde Kelani, Zeb Ejiro, Liz Benson, Barbara Soki, Larry Williams and so many others too many to include.
They are the Ones that created the way for us and the young people of today to have a World recognised Entertainment Industry called Nollywood.

All we need right now to improve is the right kind of investments and Investors, proper structures and strong Government policy that can help sustain our gains and achievements made so far.

Just follow your extra passion and reach the heights of your dreams is my advise for anybody that wants to succeed.
