Nigerian Divers celebrate end of year party

 

"Diving is safe until you forgot it's dangerous"

With this word in mind, Nigerian Divers, under the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria came together on the 10th of December, 2021 to celebrate their successes on the job.

Chairman of the Unit, Diver Timi Yalah, in his speech gave special thanks to God for protecting their members whenever they dive into the deep.

He spoke of the need for Divers to always think safety, maintain certain calm at all times, before, during and after a job.

He went on to reiterate the need for their members to keep abreast of modern trends in the Diving profession through trainings and hope they will always get the backing of the President of the Seamen, Comrade Sunday Avoseh.

Comrade Power Unukefe, Zonal Coordinator of the Lagos Industrial District, Seamen Branch, thanked members of the Divers Unit for joining the Maritime Workers Union after 15 years of impossibilities.

He said the Divers Unit and it's Members are very special to the great Union that's why they would be made comfortable.

The party was well attended by Divers, the District Officers led by Comrade Bashiru Seidu (Chairman), Josiah Azubuike (Vice Chairman), Esther Uduenyi (Special female) and Henry Ejeta (Asst secretary).

Diver Orlando (Vice Chairman) and Collins were the organisers of the party.

Omofela put up a great performance when he imitated Fela the legend and got the guest thrilled and memorable.

The Divers Unit intends to make it a yearly event because it is worth celebrating.
