Picked from the Crowd - Mimi Ozakpolor aka Michelle

In 2002-2003, i attended more than 20 auditions without success. One day, Zeb Ejiro picked me from the crowd- Mimi Ozakpolor

In those days, aspiring Actors and Crew used to converge in places like Zeb Ejiro's office, Folawiyo Bankole street, in front of Winnis hotel and National Theatre, Iganmu Lagos for general informations about how they can get an Acting role or work as a Crew.

Some were lucky they got it with few trials but for others like Mimi, the Accounting Graduate from Auchi Polytechnic in Edo state, it was really tough and hectic.

When news of an audition in Zeb Ejiro's office went round, Mimi, aka Michelle tried her luck one more time and like always, she was among the last on the list. With the auditions almost over for the day before it got to her turn.

She performed well and was picked by Zeb himself. That's how she got her first role in the movie Extreme Measures, Produced and Directed by Zeb Ejiro in 2003.

I wanted to be a movie star since I was a child.
I watched lots of foreign movies and popular Nigerian TV programs like Things fall apart, Cock crow at dawn, Hotel de Jordan and others.
I was inspired by our dramas. They were very interesting.

She also worked in Bank PHB (now Keystone bank) and came back to Nollywood to continue Acting.

Mimi loves traveling, walking, beach outing and reading.
